Yes! Helix is an operational platform that is available for your ISR needs. The platform is certified, tested and ready to perform missions.
There is flexibility in this depending on the hours of flying done per day. For a flight at maximum endurance, there will be the need for 5 people to operate the platform. For 24/7 operations multiple pilots, operators, and engineers are needed as human fatigue is the only limitation.
This number depends on the configuration of the GCS, unpacking and deploying the GCS in a remote and temporary set up will take 20-30 minutes with 2 people. In a permanent deployment the GCS will already be assembled and deployment can be done in minutes.
The Helix is a manned ISR platform. In addition to the manned platform, CADG Aeronautical Innovations is also developing an unmanned version in the Helix 2. This aircraft will have full Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) capabilities as well as Optionally Piloted Vehicle (OPV) capabilities.
No. While the Helix can be configured for military clients the aircraft itself is civilian and current payloads are restriction free. This makes Helix to be available for clients from all backgrounds.
